Data Protection

The protection of your data is of the utmost importance to us. Consequently, we would like to inform you of the purposes for which your visit data will be used below.

This privacy statement is intended for interested persons who are in contact with us as well as any persons with whom we are in contact with within the scope of our market research and opinion polling studies or our telephone services.

Should you have any further questions regarding the handling of personal data, please get in touch with our data protection officer (contact details below).

We strictly adhere to the currently applicable data protection regulations and statutory provisions. We hold regular training sessions for both ourselves and our employees at regular intervals and consistently adapt our processes to conform with the law.

What is personal data?

"Personal data" is understood to be particulars regarding the personal or factual circumstances of a certain or determinable natural person, such as name, address, date of birth, telephone number etc.

Which data do we process?

  • Visitors to our website

In the course of your use of our website for informative purposes, we only collect data that your browser transmits to our server. When you want to visit our website, we collect the following data which we require for technical reasons in order to be able to display our website to you as well as to guarantee stability and security: date and time of visit to the website, country of origin, your IP address, name and version of the web browser.

  • Web analysis with the use of cookies

Our website uses Webalizer, a web analysis service provided by ALL-INKL.COM – New Media Munich. Webalizer uses what are known as "cookies". These are text files which are saved on your computer and which enable the analysis of the use of the website. To this end, the usage information generated by the cookie (including your abbreviated IP address) is transferred to our server and saved for usage analysis purposes. This helps with website optimisation.
Cookies cannot access, read or alter any other data on your computer. Cookies are also unable to run programs, nor can they transmit viruses onto your computer. They serve to make the Internet service more user-friendly and effective.

Your IP address will be made anonymous as part of this process so that you as a user remain anonymous to us. The information generated by the cookie will not be passed on to third parties. You can prevent the use of cookies by amending the corresponding settings of your browser software, although that may mean that you are unable to make full use of all of our website's functions.

The log data created by the web analysis service will be saved on a server in Germany .

  • Facebook

Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbor, Dublin 2, Ireland. We maintain a presence on Facebook in order to exchange views with interested parties and customers and to inform about our services (legal basis: Art. 6 (1), lit. (f) GDPR). It may happen that the user data is not only processed within the EU. These user data are also processed by Facebook through the use of cookies for market research and advertising purposes and user profiles can be created. However, Facebook is self-certified under the Privacy Shield and is committed to upholding European privacy standards. In addition, there is an agreement between us and Facebook regarding the joint processing of personal data.

For further information please have a look to https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/ and https://www.facebook.com/login.phpnext=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fads%2Fpreferences%2F%3Fentry_product%3Dad_settings_screen
In case of requests for information and the assertion of user rights, we point out that we have no access to personal data stored by Facebook and therefore these can be claimed most effectively directly on Facebook. If you still need help, we will gladly assist you, as far as possible.

  • Contact requests

When you get in contact with us via email, the data you specify (name, address, telephone number, email address, etc.) will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the request and for any follow-up questions or the undertaking of any follow-up projects. We will delete the data obtained in connection with this at the point at which its storage is no longer required, or we will restrict it from being processed if a legal obligation to retain the data exists. We will not pass on this data without your permission.

  • Participants in studies

As a rule, our clients make appropriate samples (contact data) available to us. These are normally telephone numbers or email addresses, in some cases extended to include first name, address, serial numbers etc. Furthermore, we sometimes use contact data for our projects which we have legally obtained from third parties, such as address directories, or which is automatically generated (RLD procedure – randomised last digit).

All of our studies are based on your voluntary participation and willingness to provide information. It may be the case as part of issue-specific studies carried out by us that you provide us with data related to specific categories (e.g. country of origin, health data, political attitudes etc.).

We consistently pursue the principle of pseudonymisation and anonymisation during our projects. Pseudonymisation means that contact data is separated from survey data after a project has been concluded, and only data which has been made anonymous is delivered to the client, whereby it is no longer possible to connect that data with the particular person who was surveyed. The analysis is also only done with data which has been made anonymous.

The purpose of data processing

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • to make this website available to you and to improve and develop it;
  • to be able to create usage statistics;
  • to identify, prevent and investigate attacks on our website;
  • to answer your queries or to process any orders arising from them;
  • to execute the collection of data as part of our market research studies.

Legal basis for processing

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is our overriding legitimate interests (in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR), which lies in the achievement of the aforementioned aims.

Duration of data storage

We hold to the principles of data minimisation. Therefore, we only save your data for as long as is necessary to achieve the aims stated herein, or for as long as is provided for by the various storage periods determined by law. After the particular aim ceases to exist or after these deadlines have elapsed, the corresponding data will be routinely deleted or locked in accordance with statutory regulations.

safety

The security of your data is of the greatest importance to us. For that reason, we have implemented a data protection and information security concept across the group to protect your data optimally regardless of where it is processed. The data is only saved on servers within the EU. Standardised technical and organisational security measures are applicable across the entire group. All of our locations are fully subscribed to the GDPR and all processes comply with the stipulations of the German Federal Data Protection Act (new). A group-wide data protection officer serves as a central contact person, personally supervises each location and is directly contactable from every country. Needless to say, she also serves our clients as a competent contact person.
